Grunge Look

This is another project we did, it was a grunge type of look. It brings out the contrast and dark and lights in pictures. I already had this picture saved on my computer so i decided to use it. Um i gave Putin a nice dark contrasted look, and the way i did this was by using the stamp tool alot and messing with black and white masks and the High Pass tool too. I also used black and white and brightness, and i also messed with the saturation and gave him a slight red hue to give a little color to the black and white picture. I think this looks really cool and i'm very proud of it.

Cat Person

I really liked this project too because it was really fun but it took awhile. Its not my favorite out of all of them because this one was lengthy and really wierd. It had a lot of layer masking and overlay and vivid light and drop shadows applied to it. I also wanted to add curves to make it look more dark and grungy since without them it looked really bright and childish.

Brick Wall Graffiti

I really liked this project also! Displacement maps are fun! first i created the displacement map by making the picture Black and White and then making it have high contrast. Then I saved it and went back to my original pic. After that i got a graffiti font, typed my name, made it the right size, and then i added layer styles to it. I made it look more like graffiti with playing with the stroke and other such things. Then i put on my displacement map after i was satisfied with the text and then i played with the top and bottom blending options until it looked old and like real graffiti.

Country Grunge

This was a really fun project and a neat tutorial. I liked using the different effects with hue, saturation, stroke, inner glow, outer and inner shadow and stuff like that. I had to use a lot of experimentation with how much stroke or stuff to apply to the picture and i also had a slight problem with finding the right gradient. But other wise it was really cool. I also used curves to make the picture have more of a warm and darker glow and i made it stand out more by copying more on top of it.

Now you see me

This was also a fun movie poster tutorial and i really enjoyed this one. I really liked the one that i picked because i liked the fact that it looked old and worn and surreal at the same time. First i downloaded the wrinkled old fabric and set it as the dominant background. Then i added a glow to the middle and gradually put objects into the picture. After i put them in, i used overlay to make them look like they were old and worn too. I placed in the pics and airbrushed erased the top portions of them to make them look like they blended well. Then i added my own special trademark (cat) and made him look like he was fading too. Then i came up with a creative title that reflected the overall image.

Revenge of Teh

I really liked this project. It was really interesting and i wanted to create something unique and funny. This movie probably wouldnt go very far but oh well....Taylor Laughtner draws crowds too. I liked using the liquify tool and making the powerball for the effect of a superhero. I got confused at the part where you take the powerball and move it to the actual picture. thats why that looks messed up. ;]

Brush Comp.

I really liked this project. Even though it was really hard and lengthy, it helped me alot and stuff. I really liked using the flare tool to make the wings, then i duplicated it to make it stronger. Then i also liked playing with the different brush tools to create the different softness and hardness levels of the picture. I also played with the hue and saturation to give it a POP. Now she looks like an egyptian goddess.
