My memory book

This is my beautiful memory book that I created on indesign and photoshop. 2013 has been a great year for me and so I really was looking forward to putting many great things into my memory book! My russian heritage has influenced me greatly in my life, and so I wrote my name in russian also on the front. Then I decided to open the book by placing my reflection over 2013, then I followed that by placing nice graphics of my friends, hannah, michael, hallie, alyssa, megan, and josh. Then i gave you a more detailed intro of my life by adding the troupe page, which is an acting group i go to after school, and then after that I placed the projects I had done on the next page. Then I put things that I liked a lot, which were my two cats and russia and molang. Those two pages complemented each other and were the center of my book. then I placed the signature page at the back, as with all yearbooks, and then I finished with a little russian goodbye, to give one final salute to the russians. thats all that i have to say :) thanks! I had a great year!

Interview

This project was really fun also! I liked creating and adding the text and pictures all at once. Then placing them was very simple and changing the text sizes and placing was fun too. I hate the color scheme though but I guess it's supposed to look cheesy? I dont really know but this was really great and the coolest part was placing the silhouette in front and making her be in front of the words.

Eco Poster

This is the beautiful Eco poster that we had to do! It was really fun and easy but there were just so many steps it took a really really long time! I changed the kerning and the size and paragraph spacing in most of the page, and I added columns and color. I didnt really understand why the 'green' wasnt green but orange. but that's ok! I really like this project because it was fun and easy.

De motivational poster

This is the poster that I made in indesign! All I did was make the XPLORATIO part smaller and further above the E and N and then I added a line to fill that gap between them. then I added a small one at the end of the second and third bars of words (the ones in white)

Scrap book Template

This is my beautiful sea-themed scrapbook template that I created. First I found a suitable background picture, shell pictures and then I found some nice sea-themed picture frames that would go nicely with this. I then got a picture of sandpaper and erased part of it so it looked like sand (I used a soft brush with low opacity). Then I placed my shells onto there and added a nice drop shadow. Next I placed the picture frames and added a similar drop shadow. Now the pictures were in place but they all had different shades and hues. so I created several hue&saturation layers plus a few curve layers to get all of my pictures looking like they came from the same image. So that is how I created this wonderful backdrop.

My Reflection over 2013

 

 

2013 was a very fun and prosperous year for me! In that year I turned fourteen, making further steps toward deep teen hood. I also started high school! I was so worried at the end of eighth grade about it, but over the summer I matured and became a more responsible and modest person. So high school seemed big and confusing at first, but then I got used to it and high school flew by really fast.

 

Before high school though, I had a great summer! I worked most of it, getting a lot of money at my parent’s business. My dad and mom both own a physical therapy clinic. Anyway, when I worked there I just cleaned and did grunt kind of work. But it paid off and I got paid minimum wage! So I earned a lot of money!

 

Also, during Christmas, me and my family took a week long Disney cruise to the Bahamas. It was really really really fun! We had an awesome time and it wasn’t cold, as the Bahamas are very hot! We also went to Mexico and I got a sombrero for my friend. I also went scuba diving and that was VERY fun and the water was crystal clear! We also had Mexican Fanta which has the best taste on a hot day and I even got to practice my Spanish! I also made some new friends, and one that I still talk to! He lives in Minnesota and I love to joke about the weather with him.

 

Last year I also created some nice drawings and stories! And my two cousins also got married and I met my now best friend Cella! I really like her and I met her through my friend Emma. We have lots of fun talking and having a good time together. I really enjoy drawing now because of her, and I’m already great at writing stories but I am getting better!

 

School was fun too though. I had lots of fun last year conquering Illustrator and my other classes. Some of my teachers took getting used to, but now I’m a pro in their class. I make good grades, and I, just like every other teenage girl, have a crush on someone.

 

2014 Is coming on slow but I think I have it! Summer is almost here and now that I’m reminiscing over the old year I’m very happy that I got all that stuff done. And that I met all those people! This year has been fun anyway. Full of sleepovers, parties, friends, fun, and greatness! I celebrate miracles almost every day with my family and my friends. We’ve all been through good times and bad and I just think that I’ve had the best time!

Cover Page

This is my coverpage for my memory book! I really like this and I had fun putting all of my projects together and then creating the clipping mask for it! It looks really cute and I like it alot!!!

Another Photo phrame

This project was fun to create! First you select the area of the frame, and make it an object. Then you give it borders and a drop shadow. Then you skew it so it looks like a picture. Then you add hue and saturation to the back ground so you only focus on the picture. Then you give a radial change to the outside and it looks beautiful now~~~

Little square Photo phrame

Basically you make two copies of your image, then make a new layer and fill it with white. Then you draw a square with the selection tool and do layer mask. Then you give the layer an outer glow and then you can now duplicate it and drag the squares out to where you desire.

Pop Art

This is the pop art thing that we did. I really liked this project. First I had to mess with the imageing of the picture. I changed the mode to bitmap, greyscale, and RGB several times. I also changed the amount of usage of these modes. Also I used Image adjustments to change the brightness and contrast. Then I created a clipping mask and then painted my face with the color of my choice while leaving the background blue. I look like the Joker!!!!!

Curl and Tape

I created these two wonderfully easy things in photoshop. the crane one I just selected an area, gave it a linear black and white gradient, and then warped the page up. The tape was an easy transparent brush creation, with a little erasing help and different color choices and drop shadow and burn too effects. I loved these two projects and they will look great in my memory book.

Vintage Polaroid

First you select a large portion of the background and fill the foreground and background colors with white and then a soft grey. Then you do filter render clouds and that will make it cloudy, then you add some noise and a pattern to give it that card stock feel. Then you place the actual picture on there. Then you inverse the picture selection to cut out extra pixels. Then you add inner shadow and stroke  and change the hue and saturation till it looks like the way you wanted it to look. Then you are done!!! And you have a beautiful picture now too~

Pasta ad pictures

Pasta Ad

This is my beautiful project that I simply created with just a bit of photoshop magic. I took some pasta and photoshopped it out of its respective photo and added it here to my picture. Then i copied them. Then I added a nice font and added my logo at the bottom. I also thought the white background was too white so I added a softer background with a little off white greyish color.

I added the nice looking font to give it a more adultish and sophisticated feel. I also used white background not to take away from the pasta images and a greyish font. Also not to take away from the pasta images. I also put my logo on the bottom and made it really small so it didnt stand out too much but people could still see it. I was also doing this to support gay rights since my pasta is for EVERYONE

Perfume Ad

Well here is my perfume ad that I did! SHOW YO SPIRIT!!! Well anyway i got a blue back ground and then started adding stuff to it. I put the perfume bottle on and changed the name to Spirit perfume in stead of Faith hill perfume. Then I added clouds with a soft white brush set on low opacity then i put in the words and then I added the airplane and the banner. I created the banner by using a white rectangle, warping it, erasing the edges and softening it. I also lowered its opacity and the airplanes. Then I added my face and the caption "The Eileen Collection" I also lowered the face and word opacity too. :) So there u have it!

Ok so this kind of ad would probably be found in people magazine, Us, or vanity fair. This is a high class looking ad for a better magazine company. I used a bold font to not take away the effect of the photo but to add a modern and sophisticated look to my ad. Then I added clouds in the background to make it look like you were in the sky to give an uplifting feel to the ad. Like your spirits were sky high, and there is also an airplane to give the sky feel. I also added a light effect to the clouds to make it a bit dreamy and give it that kind of dreamy feel. ~~ Spirit light feel~~

Black and White

i just did the desaturate and then the black brush and it is beautiful

Sharpening

this is the sharpening thing. i basically duplicated the layer of my face and then changed it to hard light and fixed it with a high pass filter

Sepia

I made myself in Sepia! so what i did was i desaturated the pic and then i went to color and added more red and yellow. very simple :)

Vingette shot

and here is my vignette shot. by darkening the back ground around my face! i made a selection circle around my face and then i inverted it and made that selection darker. very easy.

Using a Focused Shot

Here is my focused shot of my face. by making a copy of my face layer and then adding a gaussian blur to it. I also then made a mask on the copy layer, set the foreground to black, and with a soft brush i made my face clearer. and that was it. very simple

Messing with a selfie

I messed with a selfie of my self. :) this is crazy and i really just added lipstick and make up and hair color by brushing over with different colors and then i apply blending modes, and opacity changes. I made myself look like a psycho witch but i dont care because i have skills in photoshop now!!!!

Skin Tone Highlights

This tutorial was also very easy. All you had to do was select the area which you wanted to change, fill it with a color of skin around it on a new layer. Then change that layers blending mode to color and then change the opacity to 56 percent. then you are done. (Sorry i have a gif as the image before.)

Wrinkle removal

All you do for this is make a new duplicate layer, take out the spot healing brush, and make the wrinkles dissappear.

Whiten teeth

There were several ways to make teeth whiter. One way was just to apply the dodge tool to a new layer and make the exposure 50 percent.

Make up

All i did for this was add colors to the eyes with soft brushes and the pink layer i used soft light and for the eyeliner layer i used multiply

Change hair color

I changed this girls hair color to pink, it was very easy. I put on a quick mask and then colored her hair in with black. then i selected it, inverted it, and changed its hue and saturation until it became pink.

Make Nose smaller

This tutorial was really easy and all i did was make her nose smaller by selecting it and using liquify and then the pucker tool to finish the job. Simple. fast. easy.

The Content fill tool

In this picture i used the content fill tool to take away the pole and mini pole at the bottom of the picture. It was very easy. all i had to do was select the shapes and then use a content aware fill and they dissappeared.

Baby Car

With this tutorial i made a baby car with the spot copy brush. and i undid the overlay and then i moved the baby car to the side and made it look real

Spot Healing Brush

Here is the girl that i made look really good with the spot healing brush. With this brush all i had to do was literally click her pimples away! there wasnt much to it at all!

Grunge Look

This is another project we did, it was a grunge type of look. It brings out the contrast and dark and lights in pictures. I already had this picture saved on my computer so i decided to use it. Um i gave Putin a nice dark contrasted look, and the way i did this was by using the stamp tool alot and messing with black and white masks and the High Pass tool too. I also used black and white and brightness, and i also messed with the saturation and gave him a slight red hue to give a little color to the black and white picture. I think this looks really cool and i'm very proud of it.

Cat Person

I really liked this project too because it was really fun but it took awhile. Its not my favorite out of all of them because this one was lengthy and really wierd. It had a lot of layer masking and overlay and vivid light and drop shadows applied to it. I also wanted to add curves to make it look more dark and grungy since without them it looked really bright and childish.
